Step One

Step Two, A: Individual account opening
Please visit our office at appointment time, fill the account opening form (refer to the form in Download Centre), with the following documents::
1a. Hong Kong resident: ID card;
1b. Mainland resident: Mainland ID card;
1c. Foreign resident: passport;
2. Proof of residential address issued within the past three months ( e.g. utility statement, bank statement ). For mainland ID card holder, it’s not required if your residential address is same as the address stated on your ID card;
3. Please prepare your mobile phone No. email address, Hong Kong bank account information as reserved information when fill the account opening form.
Depending on the situation, CSL may require supplement documents for account opening purposes.
Step Two, B: Corporate Account Opening
Please visit our office at appointment time, fill the account opening form and Self Certification Form (Controlling Person) (refer to the form in Download Centre), with the following documents:
1. Organization structure chart (signed by director);
2a. For Hong Kong company: Copy of Certification of Incorporation, Business Registration certificate, Articles of Association, Annual Return, audit report;
2b. BVI or offshore company: Copy of Certificate of Incumbency, Certification of Incorporation, register of shareholders and directors;
3. Ultimate beneficiary owner/director/authorized person: Copy of ID card or passport, proof of address;
4. Please prepare your mobile phone No. email address, Hong Kong bank account information as reserved information when fill the account opening form.
For corporate documents, original copies need to be witnessed by CSL staff, otherwise they need to be certified by CPA/lawyer/Company Director.
Depending on the situation, CSL may require supplement documents for account opening purposes.
Step Two, C: Other requirements
If the client wants to be treated as a professional investor, you need to fill professional investor form and provide proof of asset documents (such as bank statements).
If the client has any interests related to USA, you need to fill related declaration form.
Step Three
After the check and verification of account opening form and related documents, generally, individual account will be available in 1 or 2 working days, corporate account be available in 3 to 4 working days. An account notification email will be sent to you in next working day once it is valid.
